  • From Downward-Facing Dog, shift your right foot forward until its toes are in line with your fingers. Slightly move your foot to the right.
  • Bend the front knee at a 90-degree angle. Your thigh should be parallel to the ground; stack your knee over your ankle with your right hip pushed back behind you.
  • Pivot the left heel of yours to the floor so that the foot will form a 45-degree angle to the side or edge of the mat.
  • Align the left heel of yours with your right one, or place your feet slightly wider for perfect balance or greater stability.
  • Press your left thighbone backward so that the left knee remains straight.
  • As you breathe in, raise your upper body and stretch out your arms until they are shoulder length apart. Your palms should face each other.
  • Now allow the shoulder blades of yours to open out and up and keep them away from the spine and it remain towards the outer armpits.
  • Rotate the biceps backward and firm triceps toward your midline. Bring the palms together and look upwards at your thumbs.
