How did Gary Anthony Williams lose weight
Gary Williams recently revealed how he lost over 50 pounds (23 kg), and how he did it without following a fad diet. He believes that your lifestyle changes must happen by following a moderate path. Gary also stated that he exercises four times a week and uses the elliptical machine for 45 minutes to an hour.
He lost a staggering 51 pounds (23 kg) since he began his journey in May 2011.

Gary Anthony Williams Diet Plan
He started by writing down everything that entered his body. “I tracked everything from bread, meats, snacks, even vegetables,” said Williams. “Basically anything that was going into my mouth.” Gary then cut out all fast foods from his diet and instead prepared meals at home with fresh ingredients rather than buying pre-made frozen pizzas or Chinese takeout food regularly. He also ate smaller portions of his meals.
“I don’t eat red meat at all” then he started to focus on eating leaner meats like boneless chicken breasts and turkey cutlets instead. He also eliminated sugar, flour, dairy products, fried foods, processed food and soda from his diet. Instead, he made sure to drink about three litres of water a day.
Gary loves working out so this was the easiest part for him. He tries to do it at least four times a week by exercising on an elliptical machine for 45 minutes or more. The actor believes that being active is important because it improves your mental health as well as physical appearance, especially during weight loss.
Gary Workout Routine
He does weight training for 30 to 45 minutes. Each of the four days he works out, he starts with a 15-minute warmup on an elliptical machine. Gary then goes through a set, concentrating on one muscle group at a time using weights that start low and increase from there. For example, on biceps day, he will start with five pounds (2 kg), then over several sets work up to 15 pounds (7 kg).
The actor stated that it took about 10 months to go from 315 pounds (143 kg) down to the weight of just under 250 pounds (113 kg). He also stated that he lost 28 inches (71 cm) around his waist. His key to losing weight was simply changing what he ate.
He is also still giving motivational speeches, encouraging his fans to live healthier lives and exercise more. “I walk my path with motivation and faith,” said Williams. “Every day I meditate, pray and then hit the gym.”
